Today the new Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Marco Clemente handed his credentials to Armenian president Robert Kocharyan.

The diplomat expressed willingness of his country to spread spheres of co-operation between Italy and Armenia, stating that he is glad to introduce Italy to the country, which has ancient civilisation and rich culture.

President voiced satisfaction over the present level of Armenian-Italian political dialogue and the economical relations, saying that they develop rather dynamically. According to him, commodity turnover volume between two states increases year by year. Interlocutors pointed to culture and tourism as promising spheres for collaboration.
