IN THE FIRST SITTING PERIOD OF PARLIAMENT

On June 13 Parliament continued work of the first sitting period. Misunderstanding during summarisation of results of the closed voting over electing a chair for the Parliament Committee on Social, Health and Environment Protection Issues occurred at the previous sitting.

Under the Parliament’ regulations, a committee chair is to be elected by majority of registered MPs and not by majority of those participated in the voting.

This time Gagik Mkheyan was again proposed as a candidate for the post of the chair on the above committee. He was elected the Committee Chairman by 67 pros, 14 cons in closed voting.

Today Viktor Dallakyan, “Justice” Fraction secretary, came to Parliament after the sittings. He had brought the list of “Justice” members, who are to be inscribed in the committees.

”Justice” may take part in the next sitting when introducing the Government program.
