ANDRANIK MARGARYAN IN MOSCOW

The sitting of leaders’ board for CIS-member governments took place in Moscow today. Armenian PM Andranik Margaryan partook in it.

Drafts on more than 20 decisions, introduced by CIS Economic Council and Board for Foreign Affairs Ministers were discussed. Some important issues on the agenda regarded development of collaboration in security field. In particular, a decision over joint struggle against 2003-2004 international terrorism was made.

Cooperation in education sphere were at the centre of the attention of governmental leaders.

Decisions regarding the joint financial results for 2001 and 2003’ joint budget of CIS-member countries were made. As to the joint budget of this year, Armenia has expressed the special point of view, suggesting to maintain the previous volume of the part for Armenia, 9,5 million roubles, whereas the sitting had offered to increase it, making 11,5 million roubles.

Leaders of CIS-member governments decided to hold the next sitting in Yalta, on September 18.
