APPEAL TO DIASPORAN ARMENIANS, DEMOCRATIC FORCES AND INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC

A peaceful public demonstration will take place in Hollywood this Saturday in support of Armenian Presidential Candidate Stepan Demirchyan.
This is in protest to the mass riggings and serious violations by the Kocharyan regime during the February 19th Presidential elections in Armenia.

At this crucial and critical juncture for the Armenian people, it is extremely important for each of us to adopt an active civic posture.

Everybody knows that the criminal authorities of present day Armenia are trying to snatch the victory notched by the People’s Party and its leader Stepan Gareni Demirchyan, in the February 19th presidential elections – which is a victory for the Armenian people as well – by falsifying the results of said elections.

In so doing, they are also trying to put the brakes on the progress of our people and country for another five years, and extend the despotic regime, or dictatorship, of President Robert Kocharian and his clan.

Considering the tyrannical acts being committed and numerous arrests being made in Armenia in recent days, as well as the unstable and potentially explosive situation prevailing in that country, the staff of Stepan Demirchyan’s Los Angeles campaign headquarters is appealing to all Armenians, all citizens of Armenia, who are concerned about Armenia’s future and zealous defenders of democratic principles, to come together in a show of unity, in order to fight for the downfall of tyranny in Armenia.
