CE OBSERVERS IN PARLIAMENT
Support A1+!On February 17 Parliament Speaker Armen Khachatryan received observers’ delegation of CE, headed by Lord Russel Johnson. Delegation members are the representatives of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Russia and Netherlands.
Observers wondered what impact the parliamentary elections after the presidential ones will have on the political developments, what percent of the electorate will take part in the elections and if the death penalty abolition issue is discussed in the election campaign.
By seconding their candidate in the presidential elections, the parties also represent their standpoints, and people already have their attitude to parties. It was stated many people took part in the meetings during election struggle proving active approach of the people .
Other issues regarding elections were discussed at the meeting.
