PRO-ARMENIA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OPENED IN PARIS

Pro-Armenia International Conference started Saturday at French Senate. The aim of the Conference is to attract the international community’s attention to the political issues related to Armenia and Armenians. Over 20 political activists and intellectuals from Armenia and foreign countries arrived in Paris to attend the event.

Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan held a press conference was held here.

Speaking on terrorist actions perpetrated by Azeri side in Karabakh, the minister stressed that the issue isn’t closed and Armenia can make it a world-wide discussion subject.

Answering questions about EU-Turkey relationship, Oskanyan said Turkey ought to respect EU membership commitments and to start peace talks with Armenia without any preliminary conditions.

The minister made it clear that Yerevan is to be firm demanding UNESCO official representatives to be sent to Nakhichevan to see on site the convincing evidence of demolition of Armenian monuments and outrages committed against them.
