STATEMENT OF THE PRE-ELECTION HEADQUARTERS OF ARAM KARAPETYAN
Support A1+!”Armenian Authorities continue forming atmosphere of fear and horror. Some Mayors and village heads, heads of subdivisions of Internal Affairs, National Security, Tax bodies in particular hold “conversations” with supporters of candidates in opposition with Armenian president, put obstacles on the activity of pre-election headquarters.
Many buildings that belong to institutions of local government, have become headquarters for Robert Kocharyan. State officials have turned into headquarter heads. It is not surprising as Defence Minister Serj Sargssyan is head of the general headquarters for Robert Kocharyan.
The propaganda placards for Opposition candidates for presidency are being destroyed. No steps are take to prevent it.
Public TV Company of Armenia, breaking Laws, still makes unequal conditions for candidates . Perfect conditions are granted to Kocharyan. No video material over Aram Karpetyan’s campaign, has been covered on Public TV. Even the video made in the headquarters, was left out of air. On January 28, 6-minutes-long airtime for propaganda, was stopped for about 4 minutes.
Thus taking into account the above facts and those like them, free, just and democratic elections in Armenia are cast doubt on . Despite this, Aram Karapetyan will continue his propaganda. On January 30 Aram Karapetyan will leave for Gegharkunik Province”.
