STATEMENT OF ARAM KARAPETYAN’S HEADQUARTERS
Support A1+!There is atmosphere of fear and horror in the country since pre-election propaganda began. The “authors” of it are the criminal elements and representatives of some force structures, functioning under guidance of Robert Kocharyan. They even threaten the employees of headquarters for candidates from Opposition with dismiss and ceasing the headquarters.
Propaganda in favour of Robert Kocharyan exceeded all the legal bounds, airtime is used under unequal bases, thus making more evident the real causes for both “A1+” and Noyan Tapan ceasing . Breaking the 1-st and 2-nd parts of 18-th article of Election Law Code in some settlements /Ashtarak, Maralik/, the headquarters for Robert Kocharyan are located in the buildings of institutions of local government . And the pre-election placards for Kocharyan are put on the buildings of state power. The other candidates are prohibited to do so.
Facts of passport collecting in Gyumri, suggestion and distribution of election bribes in favour of Kocharyan /Arabkir Commune/, remitting debts for electric power instead of voting for Kocharyan were registered .
We appeal to the Authorities and warn them legitimacy of election results will be cast doubt on if they continue this way of conduct.
We suggest Authorities to carry out election campaign within Legislation or else we’ll have to take anti-steps under Law.
