NKR AUTHORITIES DISPLAYED GOOD WILL

The state of health of the Azerbaijani Army’s soldier Elmeddin Abiyev , taken prisoner on January 8, 2003 on the contact-line of the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces during the attempt of the diversionary-reconnaissance group to violate the b`order`, is still evaluated as grave .
According to the doctors of the military hospital, at which Abiyev is being treated, he is not transportable at the moment. The prisoner himself is satisfied with the treatment of the Karabakh doctors , which was confirmed by the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the OSCE, regularly visiting the wounded.
According to the information of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic’s State Commission on the issues of prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons, the corresponding structures of Azerbaijan didn’t submit any official inquiry on passing the prisoner .
At the same time, the NKR authorities, proceeding from exceptionally humane reasons, are ready to receive the prisoner’s parents for meeting with their son . The NKR authorities ensure the absolute security of the wounded soldier’s parents at the territory of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic”.
