Armenian Defence Ministry issued a statement Thursday saying Armenian armed forced have nothing to do with the ammunition consignment seized by custom service in Moscow’s Sheremetevo airport.

Russian sources reported yesterday that some 110, 000 shells sent from Novosibirsk to Armenia were seized at Sheremetevo.

“Armenian Defence Ministry imports ammunition only legally in accordance with contracts signed with various countries’ relevant structures. Moreover, such a dismal amount of ammunition is merely useless to Armenian Forces”, the statement says.
