On April the 23-rd president Robert Kocharyan signed a decree on decorating Jansem / Hovhannes Semerjyan /, the Armenian painter of Diaspora with a Saint Mesrop Mashtots medal.

On the Armenian president's invitation the well-known painter, residing in Paris, now is in Armenia together with his offsprings and grandsons. Today president Kocharyan granting him the High State Award expressed his gratitude to the painter for presenting his 34 canvases about 1915 year' Armenian Genocide to the Genocide Museum.
