ARSHAK BANUCHIAN SET FREE
Support A1+!The precautionary measure applied to Deputy Director of the Matenadaran Arshak Banuchian (detention) has been substituted by an undertaking not to leave Armenia.
The interrogation group made the decision on the grounds that the necessity of keeping Banuchian under arrest has expired.
Banuchian had been detained since March 27 in connection with post-election events. He was accused under Article 225 /organizing public protests and mass unrest through violation of public order/, and Article 154 /hindering the implementation of voter’s free will/.
Arshak Banuchian was to stand for a degree still in May but he was detained and was unable to be involved in scientific activity.
