WHY DIDN’T DEFENDANT APPEAR IN COURT?

Masis Ayvazian, member of the board of “Armenian Pan-National Movement”, an Artsakh War veteran and a 1 March detainee did not appear in Kentron and Nork-Marash General Jurisdiction Court today. He is charged under Article 316 /using violence against the authorities/.

Varduhi Elbakian, Masis Ayvazian’s defender made default too. She had sent a sick-leave certificate to court.

Because of their non-attendance the trial was postponed until 11:00, June 10. In reply to a question about the reason of Ayvazian’s absence the judge answered: “Reason is unknown.”
