HAKOB HAKOBIAN IN NORMAL STATE
Support A1+!Upon the request of detained MP Hakob Hakobian the Hakobians' family doctor Artash Sanossian visited the “Yerevan-Kentron” Penitentiary institution.
A thorough medical examination of the detainee Artash Sanossian said that Hakob's state was normal and there was no need to worry, Press Secretary of the Criminal-Executive department of the RoA Justice Ministry Arsen Babayan informed A1+. The latter says Hakobian will cease the hunger-strike on May 6.
Note, Armenian parliamentarian Hakob Hakobian has been on a hunger-strike since April 27.
The detention of four RoA civilians on Saturday in the Malatia-Sebastia police department is an attempt to “trump up charges” against Hakobian. The opinion was expressed by HZhK board member Ruzan Khachatrian.
“As far as I understood they were trying to compile facts /as they possessed none/ against Hakob Hakobian,” she said.
HZhK member Samvel Tadevossian was among the detainees. He was taken to the police station in broad daylight without a notice and released late at night.
Ruzan Khachatrian thinks Tadevossian was detained for his active participation in the opposition meetings and in the March 1 spontaneous rally.
It means the authorities adhere to their methods and ignore the recommendations of the PACE resolution, in part to cease political persecutions, stop detention of people and to release political prisoners. Everything is useless as the authorities continue unwarranted arrests,” concluded Ruzan Khachatrian.
