CO-CHAIRS ANTICIPATE VERBAL AGREEMENT

The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs anticipate a verbal agreement between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Karabakh conflict prior to the presidential elections of February 19, 2008. The Co-Chairs issued the announcement in Baku.

“We expect the Presidents of the conflicting sides to reach a verbal agreement,” US Co-Chair Mettew Bryza said.

The Co-Chairs arrive in Armenia on January 14. They will hold a press conference just on their arrival.
