ARFD PREFERS RULE OF LAW
Support A1+!“In our country power dominates over law. The problem is that the law and the reality do not overlap in our country,” ARFD member Vahan Hovhannissian said during the 11th plenary sitting of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun.
According to Hovhannissian, Armenia is living in a period of false authorities which lasted through the years of the Soviet period and the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh). The word “authority” is associated with criminal world and nicknames which are difficult to pronounce. These people with nicknames, declared as authorities, are trying to use the state to strengthen their position.
“Why is it so? The answer is obvious. Our society got used to the idea that authority can only rely on force and money, neither on intelligence, nor on knowledge and talent. This is the ailment of our society, an ailment imposed on the Armenians. I do not mean that everyone who has money and force necessarily lacks talent, knowledge or intelligence. But they are not appreciated for their talent or intelligence. Unfortunately, they are appreciated for force and money,” Vahan Hovhannissian said.
To remind: today Armen Rustamian withdrew his candidacy at the ARFD sitting. The party named Vahan Hovhannissian for the presidential election.
