“POLITICAL NUTS WILL BE CRACKED ON OUR HEADS”

Politics

The RA authorities came to realise that the recognition of Resolution 106 is unfavorable for the country. We are not ready for the genocide recognition though it has become the core issue of the country's foreign policy,” political scientist Aghasy Enoqyan told A1+.

“Obviously, Res. 106 relates to Turkish-American relations.” He reminded that the issue had already been put under consideration in the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Turkey intensified visa granting criteria for Armenians.

Today Armenians living in Turkey are arrested and deported as they are not registered and haven't got permanent lodging.

According to Enoqyan, Turkey will soon take anti-Armenia measures as the issue is too emotional and vital for the country.

“It would be more rational if Armenia and Turkey settled their problems themselves. They have missed the opportunity, and now other countries “will crack their political nuts on our heads.”
