ARA ABRAHAMIAN RESPECTS LEVON TER-PETROSIAN

“The Union of Armenians of Russia hasn’t decided yet which candidate to support during the presidential election,” says the chairman of the union Ara Abrahamian.

“The more candidates are, the better for the country. I see no problem in this context. You will get to know our stance after candidates’ nomination.

Levon Ter-Petrosian was the first president of the Armenian Republic. The very word “president” inspires respect towards the person. We shall have a new president in six months but I shall treat Robert Kocharian the way I did during his office.”

Ara Abrahamian visited Republican Tigran Arzakantsian in hospital who had been attacked near the Metropol casino in Moscow. “Thanks God, Arzakantsian is alive,” he said.

Tigran Arzakantsian is an Armenian MP and he should be protected by the state. I think the RA Government should take measures to prevent such attacks,” Abrahamian concluded.
