GODFREY IS CONTENT WITH COOPERATION

On June 20 US Charge d’Affaires Anthony Godfrey and Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan signed the Protocol on Amendment 5 to the Letter of Agreement on Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement between the US and Armenian governments.

Under this amendment, the US Government earmarks $1,616,927 to the Government of Armenia to implement legal projects.

The projects aim to combat human traffic, to make amendments in the law-enforcement sphere, etc.

It is noteworthy that since the signing of the original Letter on June 11, 2001, the USA has allotted over seven million USD to the Armenian Government.

Anthony Godfrey thanked the RA Prosecutor's Office for fruitful collaboration.

We pursue the same aims in the combat against money laundry and terrorism.

Anthony Godfrey congratulated Gevorg Danielyan on the assignment to the post of the RA Justice Minister and highlighted the long-lasting cooperation. “The American side highly appreciates the cooperation with the law-enforcement bodies of Armenia. We are proud of the cooperation in the sphere of law enforcement, said Anthony Godfrey.
