“Today the political powers will make a final comprehensive decision”, informed Galust Sahakyan, Member of “Republican Party of Armenia” Council. He stated that instead of a coalition, a fragmented collaboration would be formed with other powers, whose pre-election programs corresponded. He underlined that the fragmented collaboration mainly concerned the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation”. The coalition would also cooperate with the opposition, since the “RPA” wished to establish favorable atmosphere in the political sphere.

To the question of “A1+” whether the protection of Serge Sargsyan’s candidature was in the basis of forming the coalition, Mr Sahakyan pointed out that if a coalition was to be formed and they were to work for 5 years, it was logical that they would protect Serge Sargsyan. Galust Sahakyan also criticized the opposition whose appeal was discussed at the RA Constitutional Court.

Galust Sahakyan considers that the opposition has exhausted, however, the perspectives of forming a new constructive opposition was anticipated, meaning the “Heritage” party.

Reflecting on the “Orinats Yerkir” party’s victory in the elections, he doubted to say whether the party won or defeated.
