WE COMMEMORATE OUR HEROES

Politics

Today (on May 7) before leaving for Shushi over 60 youngsters visited “Yerablur” to pay their homage to the untimely deceased Armenian Sparapet (Commander) Vazgen Sargsyan's cemetery.

“Obviously we are here to glorify the Armenian heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of independence and future well-being. We visited “Yerablur” first as its meaning is very sacred for us - our heroes are buried here,” says Arthur Poghosyan, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs and the Director of Pan-Armenian Youth Foundation.

He thinks that this event gives a chance to Armenian, Javakhqi and Diaspora youth to remember our heroes' contribution to the Shushi liberation struggle.

Over 250 youngsters under 30 are participating in the action. Within the framework of this initiative the participants will meet journalists and publicists who participated in the Shushi liberation.

The action will last from May 7 to 10.
