VERDICT REMAINED UNCHANGED
Support A1+!Court of Appeal of Hungary left the verdict on Safarov’s case unchanged. To note; under the verdict of Court of First Instance, Azeri officer Ramil Safarov was sentenced to life imprisonment. Safarov’s advocate appealed the decision demanding to lessen the term and facilitate the verdict brought on April 13, 2006.
Reminder; Safarov was accused of assasinating RA officer Gourgen Margaruyan who was in Hungary participating in the program “Cooperation for the Sake of Peace”. Ramil Safarov appeared in Hungary in the framework of the same program.
Safarov was sentenced to life imprisonment under Article 166.2 of the Hungarian Penal Code.
