Support A1+!“Americans are making 236 million USD investments for Armenia's future well-being", announced Alex Rasin, head of the Armenian program of Millennium Challenges Cooperation.
Today 882 thousand USD of the above-mentioned sum has been sent to Armenia. Over 507 thousand USD will be added to the sum by the turn of the year.
Thus, we can say that the U.S. government has already made the first investment of 1, 4 million USD.
“The Government of Armenia must secure high activity to have investments in human capital which will become stimulus in the sphere of economic freedom.
Only via democratic reforms and provision of free and fair elections in 2007 and 2008, Armenia can guarantee the continuation of this program which costs over 236 million USD”, announced Anthony Godfrim, temporary Charge D'Affaires of the US Embassy to Armenia.
He voiced hope that the five-year program will be a success in Armenia. The country will pass the test of free and fair elections with dignity. The optimism of the American side is based on the RA authorities' promises and on the fact that there will be public control during the program implementation.
