BUDGET WILL COVER MINIMAL EXPENSES OF DEFENSE SPHERE
Support A1+!About $150 million (74 billion AMD) will be allocated by the state budget for the defense expenses in 2006.
“For the first time the budget was compiled proceeding not form the absolute sum of previous years but the GDP per cent. There is an agreement that a bit more than 3% of the GDP is allocated to the defense field. The more is the per cent the more we will receive” , Armenian defense Minister Serge Sargsyan stated after the secret hearing in the parliament. “These are the minimal expenses to secure the present level of efficiency of our army”, the Minister noted.
“In 2006 we are going to purchase modern weapons”, he added.
MANVEL GRIGORYAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ELECTIONS IN ECHMIADZIN?
“Deputy Defense Minister Manvel Grigoryan did not participate in the election of the Mayor of Echmiadzin though some media are trying to present the elections as directed by Manvel.It is not true”, Serge Sargsyan stated when answering the journalists’ questions.
The Minister refuted the information that on the election day he was in Echmiadzin.
