EU WATCHING CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS
Support A1+!Today during the meeting with RA National Assembly Speaker Arthur Baghdasarian EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie showed interest in the process of adoption of constitutional amendments in Armenia.
«I hope the draft will be ready in the near future. The society should get familiarized with the amendments before the draft is put to referendum. We also pay attention to the changes to be inserted in the Election Code», Mr. Talvitie said.
To continue Talvitie's words Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan noted that the democratic processes in Armenia accord with the EU approaches and by the end of 2005 Armenia will have fulfilled the commitments to the CE.
