Grandmaster Karen Movsisyan to participate World Championships
The World Chess Championship will be held on November 18-29 in Bled, Slovenia. 331 chess players from 43 countries have already applied for the tournament. The participants were divided into 2 age groups. Armenian grandmaster Karen Movsisyan will represent Armenia in the group with the chess players over 50 years. According to the rating points, only Georgian chess player Zurab Sturua is ahead of our chess player. This time the current champion, grandmaster Granda Zúñiga is absent. The tournament is held in Swiss style with 11 rounds.
