Politics
Untitled3-3

Who are the heroes of our future defenders of homeland? "Monte, Njdeh, Andranik," twelve-year-old Ruben says. His grandmother Sonya Sirunyan was a sniper. "She exploded 39 tanks and reached Berlin," Ruben proudly said. Every year on this Victory day, he with his family visit museum where the picture of his grandmother is on one of the stands. Parents have told  about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War; the school program does not include it. The Mother Armenia Museum of the Ministry of Defense has no shortage of visitors. And not only on May 9. Senior researcher Narine Khachatryan says that schoolchildren, military men, tourists and even journalists visit the museum. The museum donors are not few as well. "As the life is transforming, the museum is also transforming,"said Hamlet Gevorgyan, a senior researcher at the museum. A few days ago, a new exposition of the exhibition hall dedicated to Marshal Baghramyan was completed. "We should proudly and with great dignity mention, remember and convey to our generations that such a small nation has never given such a quality and quantity of military commanders and brave soldiers to humanity," says Hamlet Gevorgyan. More than two dozen Armenian fighters participated in the defense of Stalingrad. Hrachya Kochar, who fought in the 51st Guard Division, will commemorate the Armenian soldiers' heroic deeds in his book entitled The Children of Great House.
