Why the Palestinians are against Giro d'Italia (video)
A protest action organized by Palestinian BDS took place at the 4th Giro d'Italia cycling race. The police quickly arrested the protesters. As Italian media mention, this anti-Israeli organization has appealed to cyclists a few months ago and urged not to allow Israeli cyclists to participate in competitions. The reason is that Giro d'Italia started in Israel this year and this country has also had the right to participate with its athletes. The Australian leads defending champion and stage one winner Tom Dumoulin (Team Sunweb) by just one second, with José Gonçalves (Katusha-Alpecin) in third at a more distant 13 seconds. The next round will take place today between Agrigento and Santa Ninfa cities.
