Bagrat Asatryan on releasing new banknotes (video)
There should be serious reasons or events for the third generation banknotes. Former Chairman of the Central Bank does not see any necessity for the new banknotes that are going to be circulated in 2018. Besides, the society is interested on the amount of money spent for creating the new banknotes, which the Central Bank refuses to announce, considering it as secret of the bank. "The Central Bank should be open, it has no right to be secretive. Because that open policy will help to solve many problems. New money is circulated and it should be as reliable as possible. What has happened? Bring the report and show all the expenses. According to which law is it a secret?" Referring to the signing of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, Bagrat Asatryan advised not to have serious economic expectations. He said that the way we did not manage to win the economic benefits of the EAEU, the same would be with the EU agreement if the authorities did not change their policies. Bagrat Asatryan considers Armenia's investment climate catastrophic. In his opinion, the EAUA direction cannot guarantee the flow of investments because of its objective reasons: type is rather a political project than an economic one. But the economist sees way out.
