Trial of Vahan Shirkhanyan and others is underway (video)
The Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan is proceeding of an armed group, neutralized by the NSS on November 25, 2015. Former Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan is also involved in the case. The court started the examination of the evidence. Arthur Vardanyan is presented to be the leader of the armed group. According to the criminal case, "Arthur Vardanyan, being in Armenia since April, 2015, created and lead a criminal group, consisting of the RA citizens. He illegally acquired, kept, transported and held a large number of weapons, aiming at taking power over Armenia, i.e. threats of using violence, which, beyond his control, was not completed.
