Armenian chess players in World Chess Championship
The games of the 7th round took place in the chess world championship in Italy. Our boy chess players lost some points and did not manage to become leaders in the tournament. Manuel Petrosyan drew level with Indian Grandmaster and is now 14th with 5 points. Today he will compete with Iranian player. Our next chess player, Hayk Martirosyan, lost to Russian international master in this round and retired from the 8th place to the 24th horizontal. He now has 4.5 points and he will compete with Argentinean international master today. Our third participant Tigran Harutyunyan, is still in the 109th place with 3 points, despite the victory in the 7th round. His upcoming opponent is Greek FIDE Master. Our one female chess player Siranush Ghukasyan lost the game for the second time in the tournament and is in the 47th place with 3.5 points. Today she will compete with Kazakhstan's chess player.
