Armenian chess players start World Championship successfully
Armenian chess players Hayk Martirosyan and Manuel Petrosyan succeeded in the first round at the Youth World Championship launched in Tivizion, Italy. In the first round, they defeated Belarusian Vyacheslav Zarubitsky and Lithuanian Andrius Brazdzionis respectively. Our third chess player, Tigran Harutyunyan, ended the first game in a draw with Chinese player. Armenia's only girl representative Siranush Ghukasyan won the Belarusian Anna Stashis in the first round.
