Officer Ashot Sukiasyan, detained on the offshore case, is sentenced to 16 years imprisonment. It should be reminded that the names of Tigran Sargsyan, former Prime Minister and Navasard Kchoyan were touched upon, but Ashot Sukiasyan denied their participation in the case and mentioned that he had falsified the signatures. Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan, according to this case, provided all his belongings to Ashot Sukiasyan to start a diamond business. But later he found out that he was cheated and no business was going to start. Judge Vardan Grigoryan of Erebuni and Nubarashen Court of First Instance recognized Ashot Sukiasyan as guilty in his verdicts and did not consider Ashot Sukiasyan's claim that he and Paylak Hayrapetyan had had civil-legal relations. According to the verdict, Ashot Sukiasyan should also compensate for a few billion dollars, part of which should be transferred to the state budget, and the other part - Paylak Hayrapetyan, his son and other family members. By the way, the prosecutor petitioned Ashot Sukiasyan to sentence him to 15 years imprisonment, but the judge tightened the sentence for 16 years.
