Criminal case filed on basis of scandalous audio recording discontinued (video)
The Special Investigation Service (SIS) has made a decision to dismiss the criminal case initiated on the basis of an audio recording that emerged before the April 2 parliamentary elections. The case was discontinued because of the lack of corpus delicti. The recording featured a meeting held at a SAS Group in which the moderator of the meeting of urges SAS Group employees to persuade family members and friends to vote for Artak Sargsyan. Sargsyan is the owner and director of SAS Group and a lawmaker from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) who was re-elected to the parliament on April 2.
