The meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers is very important in the sense that we can hear the clear position of the international community, Spokesman for the Artsakh President said on Tuesday. “We attach importance to meetings of this format but we do not expect any breakthrough in the Karabakh peace process. We cannot expect serious steps [from Azerbaijan] towards comprehensive settlement of the conflict, given Azerbaijan’s non-constructive stance and its explicit anti-Armenian policy. Such meetings are very important in the sense that they ensure the continuity of the peace process, as well as for the maintenance of peace and stability. Besides, this is also a good platform for the international mediators to express their clear-cut stance. Three of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council are included in the OSCE Minsk Group Chairmanship,” Davit Babayan said. Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers are to meet in Brussels today upon the initiative of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
