Investigative Committee launches probe into soldier’s death
Armenia’s Investigative Committee is investigating the circumstances of the death of Vazgen Poghosyan, a private of the Artsakh Defense Army. Poghosyan (born in 1997) was killed by Azerbaijani fire at about 5:40 pm on Monday while on duty in an eastern military unit. He died on the way to hospital. The criminal case was launched on charges of murder motivated by national, racial or religious hatred, or religious fanaticism. An investigation is underway.
