Advocate applies to Prosecutor’s Office in connection with beating member of “Sasna Dzrer” (video)
Advocate Ara Gharagyozyan applied to the Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the fact of beating of the member of Sasna Dzrer group Arayik Khandoyan by the police. To remind, yesterday in Avan Court the policemen beat Arayik Khandoyan, Mkhitar Avetisyan, Areg Kyureghyan, Smbat Barseghyan, Gagik Yeghiazaryan. They, according to the information of the advocates, received different bodily injuries. Advocate Ara Gharagyozyan demands from the Prosecutor General’s Office to hold the policemen, who used violence, accountable and do not send the case to the Special Investigation Service, as the cases of members of Sasna Dzrer were investigated by the Special Investigation Service. Ara Gharagyozyan doesn’t hope that the Prosecutor General’s Office will initiate any steps for holding the policemen accountable, as that body has already expressed its viewpoint on Sasna Dzrer, “It is simply a procedure, which must be done and we will apply to the ECHR on the basis of torture,” said the advocate.
