Families of servicemen who died or acquired first-degree disability while performing military duties will be able to move into new apartments by the end of the year, Armenia’s Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan told reporters on June 28. The funds will be allocated by the Traffic Police. The minister says sociologists will visit homes of demobilized servicemen to find out the problems in military units and risks of abuse and neglect in the army through a poll. The information will be published in September. Mr. Sargsyan is convinced that the move will help them make serious corrections in military units. Recently, Russia has delivered a new batch of anti-tank missile systems to Azerbaijan. Speaking about Russia’s arms sale to Azerbaijan, Vigen Sargsyan said, “Not a single official can be satisfied with the deal. The problem is that there is no civilian control over the government in Azerbaijan, and the decision to start a war can be made very easily, in a matter of seconds.”
