Lawyers refuse to have their bags checked and leave court building
Lawmakers who arrived at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Avan and Nor Nork districts on Wednesday, again refused to have their carry-on bags checked before the hearing in the case of Sasna Dzrer group members. This resulted in an argument between bailiffs and lawyers. Lawmakers Tigran Hayrapetyan, Arayik Papikyan, Yervand Varosyan and Tigran Yegoryan said the bailiffs could search them, but not the bags where they kept the case materials. The lawyers have left the courtroom and are not waiting outside the building. The other lawyers have followed suit in solidarity with their colleagues.
