Four wanted for attempted assassination of village headman
Four people have been put on international wanted list for the attempted murder of a village headman in Armenia. On May 3, 2017, at about 6:40 p.m., unknown persons in a white “Lada Priora” pursued the car belonging to the head of Norashen community Norayr Grigoryan on the road leading to Verin Artashat community and fired shots towards the driver - Karen Ghazaryan and passenger Norayr Grigoryan. The assailants fled the scene shortly afterwards. Karen Ghazaryan was hospitalized with firearm injuries. Norayr Grigoryan, the head of Norashen community in Ararat province, later said he had no idea who the gunmen were who shot his car on the way home from work. Now the police are looking for Roland Galustov (b. in 1978), Robert Galstyan (b. in 1994), Artur Nazaryan (b. in 1989) and derenik Simonyan (b. in 1989), who are suspected of attacking the mayor’s car. The investigation continues.
