Hovhannes Harutyunyan, a member of the Sasna Dzrer group, was taken to the Red Cross International Rehabilitation Center under police escort. Harutyunyan received gunshot wounds on July 26 in a shootout with police near a police compound which was seized by the Sasna Dzrer group on July 17.He still has 18 metal fragments in his leg. A few days ago, a group of physicians decided that Harutyunyan should continue his treatment in the rehabilitation center. Harutyunyan himself is more concerned about the future of our country than about his health. “I am afraid that we shall lose our country very soon. A nation that thinks only about a temporary shelter and clothing has no right to live,” Hovhannes Harutyunyan told A1+ today. The member of the Sasna Dzrer group considers the charges leveled against him and his friends unfounded. “I hope everything will become clear after the trials and the so-called hostages will say that they were not held hostage,” he said. As reported earlier the European Court of Human Rights gave the Armenian government until April 18 to answer its questions concerning Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s health.
