Khandoyan: “Extradite me to Azerbaijan like Lapshin” (video)
Brother of member of “Sasna Dzrer” group Arayik Khandoyan left the courtroom, when witness Hayk Chakhmakhchyan was giving testimony. According to his words, he himself took Ararat Khandoyan to the police station, but doesn’t remember other details: “You can extradite me like Lapshin to Azerbaijan and put an end to this,” Ararat Khandoyan said before leaving the courtroom. After 10 minutes break, Ararat Khandoyan made a statement, noting that he was taken to the police station by the NSS officers from “Meghedi” (Melody) café and not policeman Hayk Chakhmakhchyan, “We were taken to the NSS gates, waited for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes we were transferred to the 6th department. Chakhmakhchyan arrived in his personal Mercedes car and didn’t enter. We sat Chakhmakhchyan’s silver Mercedes and were taken to the police department of Kanaker-Zeytun.” Ararat Khandoyan is charged with use of violence against the government representative on July 20 in Khorenatsi Street. According to the accusation, he pulled the policeman’s shield. He considers the police testimony not to be trustworthy. During the next court hearing, the aggrieved party, 46 policemen, will give testimony.
