One serviceman killed, another wounded in fresh ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan
A contract serviceman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army was fatally wounded in fresh ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces on Wednesday, this according to the NKR Ministry of Defense. Gegham Manukyan (born in 1979) was killed by Azerbaijani fire at around 11.00 while on duty at a military unit stationed in the northern direction of the frontline. An inquest is under way. The Ministry shares the heavy grief of the loss and extends its condolences to the family and fellow servicemen of the deceased. The Ministry says another contract serviceman, Koryun Kirakosyan, 29, was seriously wounded at noon by Azerbaijani fire in another direction (near Martouni) of the Line of Contact.
