Karen Karapetyan considers Shirak airport to be milestone (video)
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is in Gyumri on a working visit. The head of the Armenian government first visited Shirak airport where he got acquainted with the conditions and capacity of the airport. Mr Karapetyan hailed the role of the airport in the region, considering it as a milestone in making Gyumri a business centre. “The prerequisites have been created. Several companies are already interested in the airport but the General Department of Civil Aviation has not received a formal proposal yet,” GDCA Director Sergey Avetisyan said. He added that the airport meets international standards and serves international flights.
