Prime Minister instructed Minister of Justice to deal with penitentiary institutions (video)
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has touched upon the current situation of the criminal executive system, “The results of the information regularly provided by the Minister of Justice show that there are problems in connection with the provision of food to detainees and convicts, corruption risks in connection with provision of parcels continue, as well as balanced distribution of prisoners. These problems require systemic and clear solutions,” noted Prime Minister. Taking into account all this, Prime Minister instructed the RA Minister of Justice to examine some functions of the criminal execute system, in particular, provision of food to detainees and convicts, develop new toolkits to maximally decrease corruption risks in the process of providing parcels, ensure the use of all the resources of the criminal executive service for equal distribution of prisoners in the penitentiary institutions. Report on the measures taken should be presented in a month.
