“On paper and in reality”: Children are hidden from the society (video)
There are still parents in Armenia, who because of stereotypes hide their children with disabilities from the society. That’s the reason that the state bodies cannot tell the precise number of children who need inclusive education in our country. The state still doesn’t have an opportunity to send all the children with special educational needs to kindergartens. There are only 8 kindergartens in Yerevan, which are available also for children with disabilities. 
“A1+” hosted Gayane Soghomonyan, Head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education and Narine Manukyan, Chairman of “Armenian mothers” charitable NGO. They touched upon the problems, achievements and future plans of inclusive education among preschool children within the frames of “On paper and in reality” program of “A1+”.
