Hovik Abrahamyan: I have made one of the most important and difficult decisions in my life
“I have made one of the most important and difficult decisions in my life and I declare that I am leaving the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK),” Former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page. “I thought for a long time before making the decision. Frankly speaking, it was not an easy decision for me, because I devoted the party a significant part of my life - nearly two decades. I thank all my party members for joint productive work. I thank all former and incumbent officials of public institutions, former and current heads of regions, cities and villages, thousands of our fellow citizens for everything we have achieved together in these years. The concept of team work, the dignity of each member of the team has been and remains a priority for me. Of course, my place will not remain empty in the HHK. New people, perhaps more intelligent or purposeful, will show up in the arena, but I would like them to be at least patriotic and statesmanlike. I am leaving the HHK but I shall stay in politics as I am sure that I have enough strength, knowledge and experience to serve my country and its people. I shall continue to live and work for the sake of Armenia. God bless our country and people," Abrahamyan said.
