Potential transportation by SSJ 100 airplane discussed
Mr. Vahan Martirosyan, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia met with Mr. Denis Manturov, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, in the framework of his visit to Moscow. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Suren Karayan, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia and Mr. Ignati Arakelyan, Minister of Agriculture of Armenia. Upon welcoming the participants, Mr. Manturov mentioned that Armenia and Russia are strategic partners. He highly appreciated the collaboration formed between the two countries. The potential transportation by the Armenian national airlines was introduced by the Minister Vahan Martirosyan within the meeting. The parties discussed the joint Agreement with the «Гражданские самолеты Сухого» (“Sukho Civil Airplanes”) and «Согласие» (“Agreement”) OJSC. According to the mentioned Agreement the Armenian national airlines will have an opportunity to implement transportations by the “SSJ 100” airplane. It was noted that some work had been done at this direction. In particular a joint working group on the project implementation was formed with the participation of the party’s representatives, the criteria and conditions for the participation of the parties were predetermined, the road map of the project was developed. Mr. Manturov highlighted the importance of discussing this and other issues right before the meeting between the Prime Ministers of the two countries, reports the Press Service of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies.
