Minister: Armenian-Iranian railway project will not be endangered (video)
According to the decision of the Government, today "Railway construction directorate" CJSC has been liquidated. After the Government session, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan stated that it will not affect the implementation of Armenian-Iranian railroad construction project. “’Department of railroad’ operates in the Ministry, which can lead the appropriate functions,” he noted. The Government is still interested in that project, says the Minister and adds that it will remain in the center of attention of the Government. In reply to the question whether the construction of the railroad is realistic, the Minister noted, “Its realization is desirable, and activities are underway for its implementation.”
