“1000 drams” bill adopted (video)
With 102-3 votes and 0 abstention, the NA today has adopted the bill “On compensation to servicemen, who were affected during the defense of the RA or military operations”. According to the bill, every month AMD 1000 will be charged from the employees in order to support the servicemen. The hall applauded. The Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction members Aram Manukyan, Levon Zurabyan and “Heritage” lawmaker Zaruhi Postanjyan voted against the bill. The HAK faction member Hrant Bagratyan announced that he wouldn’t vote as the bill contradicts to the RA Constitution at least with two provisions and contradicts to a number of laws with three provisions. The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) lawmaker Murad Muradyan and Prosperous Armenian Party (BHK) lawmaker Vahagn Makhsudyan voted instead of their absent colleagues.
